Gasgoo Munich- Bosch announced July 6 that it has officially launched public road validation testing for its urban advanced driver-assistance system in Yokohama, Japan. The trial vehicles are equipped with a one-stage end-to-end system jointly developed with WeRide — marking a pivotal step in taking China-developed ADAS technology overseas and accelerating Bosch's global commercial rollout.

The test fleet runs on an AI-native, one-stage end-to-end large model for ADAS. Capable of handling full-scenario driving maneuvers — from lane changes and intersection navigation to active avoidance of pedestrians and cyclists — the system is designed to tackle Yokohama’s complex urban commute.
The system has been deeply customized for Japan’s traffic regulations, road infrastructure, and local driving habits. The goal is to deliver a stable, human-like driving experience even in mixed-traffic conditions where vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists share the road.
Bosch noted that the core R&D and production validation for the Japan-bound system were completed entirely in China. Leveraging a mature, highly efficient development framework, Bosch became the first to achieve mass production of a one-stage end-to-end ADAS solution.
The system has already undergone public road validation in Germany, France, and elsewhere. The Yokohama trial underscores the accelerating pace at which Bosch is pushing its ADAS technology into overseas markets.
Refined through the entire development chain in China, the system does more than just help Chinese automakers expand abroad — it fills a critical gap in cross-regional ADAS localization. Bosch added that it can also assist Japanese and global automakers in rapidly adapting to diverse road conditions, driving preferences, and local regulations worldwide, drastically cutting development cycles for intelligent features in overseas models.
Looking ahead, Bosch plans to continue road adaptation validation across North America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the EU this year — part of a broader push to build an advanced driver-assistance system engineered for global roads.
