Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 7, at the ongoing 2025 Chongqing International Auto Exhibition, BYD officially put the Seal 06 EV, a brand-new all-electric midsize sedan under its Ocean series, onto the market. Built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the model features BYD's signature design language and is offered in three variants, priced between 109,800 yuan and 129,800 yuan.

Inheriting the brand's "Ocean Aesthetics" design, the Seal 06 EV bears a strong resemblance to the sporty Seal 06 GT. It features a low-slung, closed-off front fascia with prominent dual-L LED headlights and aggressive character lines on the hood. Aerodynamic "C"-shaped accents around the enlarged air ducts and a wide trapezoidal lower grille with a pronounced front splitter further enhance its dynamic presence.

From the side, the fastback silhouette continues, complemented by semi-recessed door handles and body-colored trim at the triangular C/D-pillar window area, delivering a refined and cohesive look. The model measures 4,720 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

At the rear, the sporty styling continues with an exaggerated diffuser design and a subtly raised ducktail spoiler. The full-width "wave swirl" taillight echoes the dual-L lighting motif up front and is accentuated by an illuminated BYD logo, adding a high-tech flair.

In terms of driver assistance, the model is fitted with the DiPilot 100 system, incorporating front-facing triple-lens and side-view cameras. It supports highway navigation-assisted driving and parking assistance functions.
The Seal 06 EV is powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor available in two output options—110 kW and 160 kW—paired with battery packs of 46.08 kWh and 56.64 kWh, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 470 km and 545 km, respectively. The vehicle supports both fast and slow charging, as well as external discharge capabilities. Its chassis setup includes a front dual-ball-joint MacPherson strut and a rear five-link independent suspension, providing a solid foundation for both comfort and handling.
