The partners aim to establish a comprehensive strategic alliance, fostering integration across various domains such as crowd-sourcing updates, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), pilot and parking integrated solution, and cockpit integration leveraging complementary chip capabilities.
By leveraging NavInfo's cloud-side, edge-side algorithms and tools in conjunction with Horizon Robotics' Journey series chips, the two companies will jointly develop an industry-leading crowd-sourced mapping solution.
NavInfo, known for its highly intelligent data collection and production system, will tackle the technical challenges associated with crowd-sourced updates, ensuring freshness and quality of map data.
In the future, the collaboration will focus on combining NavInfo's advanced driving system capabilities with Horizon Robotics' Journey 5 chip to create an advanced autonomous driving solution. As long-term partners, NavInfo has already introduced the L2 front-view multi-function integrated device solution based on the Journey 2 chip, achieving successful mass production in multiple vehicle models. With NavInfo's integrated software and hardware capabilities, the two companies will further collaborate to develop a highly competitive and cost-effective L2/L2+ autonomous parking solution.
Additionally, the partnership will capitalize on the strengths of NavInfo's cockpit chips, MCU chips, and Horizon Robotics’ Journey series chips, jointly developing a new-generation, high-performance integrated cockpit system. By merging the realms of intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving, this system will optimize hardware resource allocation and reduce the hardware costs associated with individual functionalities.
