Gasgoo Munich- IM Motors has kicked off 2026 with a major step in its international expansion, introducing its IM5 and IM6 electric models into the United Arab Emirates and Tunisia, according to a post on IM Motors' WeChat account.

The UAE has emerged as a strategic anchor for IM Motors' push into the region. Following the successful opening of its Dubai flagship showroom in 2025, the company is preparing to launch a second flagship location in Abu Dhabi. Customer deliveries of the IM5 and IM6 are scheduled to begin between March and April, joining the IM LS7 to form a three-model lineup tailored for the local premium EV market.

IM Motors said it plans to use the UAE as a regional hub, expanding outward to neighboring markets with the goal of achieving full Middle East coverage within the year.
The entry into Tunisia marks another important move in North Africa, building on the brand's earlier expansion into Egypt. Together with its operations in the UAE, the new market presence creates a north–south linkage designed to strengthen IM Motors' footprint and brand visibility across the wider Middle East and North Africa region.
Positioned as global strategic models, the IM5 and IM6 are designed to stand out through advanced intelligent systems and broad scenario adaptability. Central to this proposition is the IM AD driver assistance system, co-developed with Momenta and based on a map-free, end-to-end architecture that enables strong adaptability across international markets. The company said the system is engineered to quickly learn and respond to local road conditions in the UAE and Tunisia, delivering smooth and consistent assistance even in complex driving environments. Its automated parking capability is designed to handle more than 30 challenging scenarios, including narrow streets and underground garages, and supports hundreds of parking space types.
