Gasgoo Munich-Jemmell New Energy announced on June 17 that its self-developed universal smart wire-controlled chassis has officially rolled off the production line. Designed as a core technology foundation for intelligent unmanned vehicles, the system aims to deliver standardized, highly reliable motion control solutions for transport equipment across a range of scenarios.

Built to automotive-grade development standards, the newly rolled-out chassis integrates Jimai’s proprietary Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), Battery Management System (BMS), and chassis domain controller. It also features key actuation components like electronic hydraulic braking (EHB) and electronic power steering (EPS). By enabling centralized control over steering, braking, and power systems—while decoupling software from hardware—the chassis delivers millisecond-level response times, making it suitable for Level 4 autonomous driving in closed or semi-closed environments.
Leveraging a highly scalable universal architecture, the chassis can be rapidly adapted into a variety of intelligent unmanned vehicles for mainstream operational scenarios. These include autonomous delivery vans for last-mile logistics, self-driving sweepers capable of path planning, and security patrol units equipped with monitoring, recognition, and broadcasting capabilities. The platform is also expandable to autonomous shuttles, disinfection vehicles, and factory transporters.
Jemmell New Energy described the rollout as a key milestone in its integrated strategy of combining proprietary chassis development, vehicle manufacturing, and intelligent driving integration. Moving forward, the company plans to use this chassis as a core platform to accelerate the R&D and mass production of a full range of intelligent unmanned vehicles. It also aims to collaborate with industry partners to drive large-scale commercial deployment across diverse scenarios.
