Gasgoo Munich-On Sept. 9, the 2026 Li Auto i6 officially surfaced in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s 411th batch of new product announcements. Li Xinyang, head of product lines at Li Auto, published a post the same day to unpack the filing details.

The 2026 i6 will come standard with Li Auto’s in-house 5C supercharging battery and proprietary Mach chip. According to Li Xinyang, the battery’s core technology covers the complete system, including cells, packs, and the battery management system. The 5C cells are designed by Li Auto but manufactured by Sunwoda and CALB, while the battery packs are produced in-house. Li Auto noted that selecting two contract manufacturers ensures a stable and secure supply for mass production.

Filing information shows the new model is a pure electric multi-purpose passenger vehicle, measuring 4,950 mm long, 1,935 mm wide, and 1,655 mm tall, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Powertrain options include a single-motor version (250 kW) and a dual-motor setup (150 kW + 250 kW). The energy storage assembly uses LFP batteries produced by Shandong Li Auto Battery Co., Ltd. Optional configurations include side and rear LiDAR, as well as an electric retractable towing device.
Li Auto previously announced on Sept. 7 that its in-house batteries have already entered mass production on the L8, L6, and i8, with plans to cover the entire lineup moving forward. Pre-orders for the 2026 i6 will open at the end of September, with deliveries starting in early November.
