On the talent front, Detasense has assembled a world-class team of experts at the intersection of AI and robotics, forming a complete capability loop spanning foundation models, system architecture, and final delivery.
Founder and CEO Ma Xiaojian holds a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University's Department of Computer Science and a Ph.D. from UCLA. During his time in the U.S., he worked at Google Robotics and NVIDIA Research, focusing on frontier areas such as large-scale machine learning and embodied AI foundation models. Since returning to China, he has led key embodied AI projects at BIGAI, including the first native spatial generalist agent and cross-ontology data collection platforms.
Co-founder Liu Hangxin earned his bachelor's at Virginia Tech and his Ph.D. at UCLA. He is currently an assistant professor at Peking University. Liu has been deeply involved in U.S. robotics projects funded by DARPA, ONR, and NSF. Upon his return, he spearheaded the deployment of humanoid robots in industrial and specialized environments at BIGAI. He also led the development of the F-TAC, the world's first full-hand visual-tactile dexterous hand, and has published extensively in journals including Science and Nature.
Co-founder and Chief Scientist Huang Siyuan holds a bachelor's from Tsinghua University's Department of Automation and a Ph.D. from UCLA. He currently serves as Director of the Embodied Robotics Center at BIGAI. Huang previously conducted frontier research at DeepMind and Meta. He proposed and implemented the first unified "Generation-Understanding-Planning" model for spatial intelligence, as well as a unified theory for force-position hybrid control. His work has earned him multiple international academic accolades, including the CoRL Best Paper Award.
