Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 11) - Shanghai GM has issued a recall order for 6,365 imported Buick Enclave SUVs, legaldaily.com.cn reported, citing an announcement from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The recall will target 2011 and 2012 model year Enclaves with production dates ranging from late January 2010 to early March 2012.

The windshield wipers of the Enclaves (pictured) in question are reportedly installed improperly, which in extreme circumstances may cause the wiper arms to move slowly or not function at all, posing a safety risk. Shanghai GM will conduct free inspection and maintenance of all recalled vehicles. The joint venture will also ensure that any unsold vehicles in inventory are serviced on before going to market. Buick's aftermarket service center has already begun contacting owners of affected vehicles.
