China isn't affected by Toyota Motor Corp.'s worldwide recall of Prius and Lexus hybrid sedans, the Japanese auto maker said in a statement Tuesday.
The second-generation Prius and Lexus hybrids sold in China don't use the faulty braking system that has prompted Toyota to recall four hybrid models globally, including third-generation Prius vehicles, it said.
Toyota will recall around 400,000 vehicles worldwide from Feb. 10 to resolve problems in braking systems.
