Turkey motor vehicle fuel consumption rose 6% in first half

Bloomberg News (Istanbul) - Turkish motor vehicle fuel consumption rose 6 percent to 12.1 million cubic meters in the first half of this year, the Petroleum Industry Association, or Petder, said.

Gasoline consumption declined 5.9 percent to 1.2 million cubic meters while diesel consumption rose 9.1 percent to 8.8 million cubic meters, Petder said in an e-mailed statement today. Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG, in motor vehicles rose 0.8 percent to 2.1 million cubic meters, it said.
