Gasgoo Munich- On May 13, autonomous driving technology company WeRide, listed on NASDAQ, released its financial results for the first quarter of 2026.

Gross profit rose 56% from a year earlier to 39.6 million yuan, while gross margin reached 35%, a level the company said continues to rank among the highest in the autonomous driving industry.
WeRide also highlighted continued progress in scaling up its Robotaxi operations. During the first quarter, the number of registered Robotaxi users in China nearly doubled compared with the same period last year.
The company said each Robotaxi vehicle in its domestic fleet handled more than 17 orders per day on average, with peak daily volumes climbing to 28 rides per vehicle. Globally, WeRide's Robotaxi fleet has now grown to roughly 1,300 vehicles. Looking ahead, the company expects to deploy 200,000 autonomous driving vehicles, including Robotaxis, over the next five years as commercialization efforts accelerate.
Beyond Robotaxis, WeRide is also pushing deeper into the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) market. Its WRD 3.0 platform, an end-to-end L2++ ADAS solution, is moving rapidly toward mass production and has already secured nominations for nearly 30 vehicle models.
The first production passenger vehicle developed in partnership with GAC AION — the Aion N60 — has officially entered the market, marking another step in WeRide's strategy to diversify revenue streams beyond fully autonomous mobility services.
