VW debuts Passat R36 at Guangzhou auto show
Shanghai, November 20 (Gasgoo.com) Volkswagen is showcasing its most powerful Passat R36 during the Guangzhou Auto Show, cheshi.net said.
By the looks of it, the R36 appears the same with Chinese-made Magoton, but the new model is distinct with a new double-strip designed chrome grille that matches the specialized R36 label.
Inside, the wire-drawing metal flake replaces the aluminum dash found on Magoton. Other enhancements include new brake calipers which give the car more stopping power as well as “R”-styled metallic acceleration pedal and left pedal.
Powered by a 3.6L FSI V6 engine from Touareg SUV, R36 generates 300-hp and features Volkswagen's new 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system which helps to distribute the power evenly and perfectly.
The VW R36 will be available as either a sedan or wagon.
