New BMW 3-Series models launched in Beijing

Shanghai, December 9 (Gasgoo.com) BMW Brilliance Auto launched the all-new BMW 3-Series in Beijing yesterday. It includes the BMW 320i luxury, BMW 325i luxury and BMW 335i models, which are priced at 375,000 yuan ($54,500), 442,000 yuan and 613,000yuan, respectively, said xinhuanet.com today. The two luxury models are made in China and the BMW 335i is an imported model.

The previous BMW 3-Series have been sold in the Chinese market since 2005. The new 3-Series features such changes as new lights with LED indicators, revised bumpers, less chrome on the grille and a more distinctive creased bonnet. Inside, the revised model gains the latest iDrive cabin control system, an 8.8-inch screen and an 80GB hard drive.

The engines are improved for fuel economy and low emissions. The BMW 335i is powered by a 6-cylinder 3.0L Bi-turbo engine which generates an output of 306hp and a torque at 400 NM. The model can accelerate to 100km in 5.6 second.

The flagship BMW 325i, BMW's best seller worldwide, are the first 3-Series model imported to China, while the BMW 320i and BMW 325i models are locally made by the BMW Brilliance joint venture.

BMW Brilliance Auto has cut production of the previous 325i model, according to dealers. Buyers in China can place orders now for the all-new BMW 3-Series models at BMW Brilliance dealerships.
