Shanghai, February 17 (Gasgoo.com) Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd (JAC) has formed a passenger car sales company by merging its two sales divisions, and the two sales networks will also be united, said sina.com today.

The Jianghuai Passenger Car Sales Company, formed from the merger of Jianghuai Sedan Sales Company and Jianghuai MPV Sales Company, has four sales divisions for different JAC vehicle brands.

JAC previously had two passenger car brands of Ruifeng (Refine) and Ruiying, which were both sold by the same channel. After the Jianghuai Binyue was launched in August 2007, JAC set up a sedan sales company and an all-new sedan sales network to boots its independent brand image.

Jianghuai Auto said that its current merger of the sedan and MPV sales divisions into a passenger car company is intended to unite the JAC brand image and to cut the marketing costs more effectively.

Meanwhile, Jianghuai Auto is planning to build auto shopping malls or supermarkets in 50 counties and cities across the country to sell vehicles of all JAC brands, including light trucks, heavy trucks, buses, coaches, sedans, MPVs and SUVs.

Jianghuai Auto has planned to launch at least one new car model each year to help its expansion into the passenger vehicle market. The company aims to sell 70,000 cars this year, and targets 120,000 units in 2010 and more than 200,000 units in 2011.
