Shanghai, March 30 (Gasgoo.com) Changan Auto aims to sell 600,000 mini vehicles (including mini cars) in 2009, adding 100,000 to its previous target, reported Guangzhou Daily today.

In the first two months of this year, Changan Auto sold about 120,000 mini vehicles, surging 50% year on year.

By capturing the opportunity of China's "vehicles to the countryside" policy, Changan Auto increases its annual sales target to 600,000 mini vehicles from 500,000, 70% more than last year's 350,000 units.

The mini vehicle maker also continues pushing forward with its multibillion-yuan subsidy for mini vehicle sales from the beginning of this year, with the highest subsidy reaching 5,000 yuan ($730) for each buyer.
