Brilliance China promotes 3rd-generation Granse

Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Limited promoted the third-generation Granse, a new MPV (Multi-purpose Vehicle) model, at the 13th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (the 2009 Shanghai auto show, April 20-28).
 
The new Granse is designed as a high-end MPV model. Its luxurious shape, brand new interior design, Toyota-made engines and powertrain system, and large interior space have attracted attention of customers home and abroad.

The new Granse has a length of 5,235 millimeters, a width of 1,800 millimeters, and a height of 1,980 millimeters. Its streamline shape, penetrating headlamps and fog lights, luxurious LED turn lights, electric side pull doors, aluminum alloy wheel rims greatly satisfy businesspeople.

Besides, the MPV model has a super long wheelbase of 3,430 millimeters, supplying customers with a large interior space. Its seats are covered with leathers, making both drivers and passengers comfortable. Moreover, its rear seats can be transformed to soft beds, let alone high-quality DVD entertainment system.

In terms of power and safety, the third-generation Granse is equipped with Toyota's 2TR serial engines and passive safety body GOA (Global Outstanding Assessment).

The new Granse is expected to debut in the Chinese market in mid- or late May 2009, priced at a range from CNY 250,000 to CNY 270,000. CHEVIP Corporation, a major auto distributor in Guangdong Province, has been well prepared for the promotion. It has posted advertisements for the MPV model on the Internet.

Lately, Brilliance China's Granse won an honor as customers' favorable MPV in a leading automobile medium's 2009 ratings for Chinese cars, beating high-end minivans like Buick GL8 and Odyssey.

In mid April, Shenyang Brilliance JINBEI Automotive Co., Ltd. kicked off a promotion for the new Granse. Each corporate customer went to 4S stores selling Granse for test-driving during the period could get two tickets of the Auto Shanghai 2009 as long as they register their company information.

Granse MPV is a model of multi-purpose commercial car designed by Toyota Motor Corporation. It was introduced from Japan with a name of Granvia, which is well known in Europe and Asia. Later, Brilliance JINBEI changed its name to Granse.

After years of innovation, Toyota and Brilliance JINBEI launched upgraded Granse in April 2005, including three series with twelve models priced at CNY 119,800 to CNY 239,800, trying to meet diversified demands of businesspeople.

Since the promotion of the new Granse in 2005, the MPV model have been fairly popular in the Chinese market. Many sales outlets have once incurred supply shortages.
