Luxury cars debut at Chongqing auto exhibition

Shanghai, June 16 (Gasgoo.com) Luxury vehicles Rolls Royce, Lamborghini and Aston Martin made their debuts at the 11th Chongqing International Auto Exhibition that kicked off on June 11, xinhuanet.com reported.

Nearly 20 global brands, including Lincoln, Cadillac and Dodge from the United States, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley and Lotus from Europe, and Infinity, Subaru, Acura and Ssangyong from Japan and South Korea are on display.

China's six auto manufacturers - FAW Group, SAIC, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Auto, Guangzhou Auto and Beijing Foton Motor - are also displaying their newly-developed vehicles at the exhibition.

In the five-day exhibition, which ended yesterday, there were nearly 3,000 vehicles sold, with a total dealing value of about 500 million yuan ($73.2 mln). The event attracted more than 200,000 visitors from 30 countries and regions.

Car sales of global luxury brands were impressive at the show, including five units of Bentley, 15 units of Land Rover, 20 units of Chrysler, over 40 units of Lexus, 69 units of Mercedes-Benz and 71 units of BMW.
