All-new BMW 730Li released to China market

Shanghai, August 10 (Gasgoo.com) BMW China announced in Beijing on Aug. 7 the release of two sedan models of the BMW 7-Series to the Chinese market, xinhuanet.com reported. The 730Li Vantage model is priced at 918,000 yuan ($13,440) and the 730Li Luxury at 1,018,000 yuan.

The all-new BMW 7-Series is currently available in China in eight editions of three engine variants - the in-line six cylinder 730Li and the power-optimized 740Li and V8 750Li models with new twin-turbo technology and direct fuel injection.

Designed around BMW's robust EfficientDynamics strategy to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, the new BMW 7-Series offers more power and better fuel economy than the predecessor model and boasts the most fuel efficient engines in its class.

BMW China said that it will donate the proceeds of the first all-new 730Li sedan sold in the Chinese market to country's charity funds as part of BMW's support for local education and culture projects.

In the first half of this year, sales of the BMW brand in China grew 25% year on year to 35,861 cars. Including sales for the Mini brand, the first-half sales came to 37,627 cars, up 24% y/y.
