Zotye Holding Group, an auto manufacturer in Zhejiang province, held a ceremony on April 24, 2010, to celebrate the Zotye Lerio getting the "Beijing NN5E08" license plate. It was the first license plate for a pure electric car in Beijing.

Zotye plans to bring 100 electric cars into Beijing market, initially for the rental business, said Chairman Wu Jianzhong on the second day of the 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

Echoing the exhibition's theme, "For a greener tomorrow", Zotye launched a campaign to promote environmental protection and greener travel methods. Volunteers will ask people to leave their signatures on the green proposal during the automotive exhibition.

Wu announced that Zotye would donate mineral water and drinking water to the drought-hit region in southwest China in accordance with the number of signatures collected during the campaign.
