Great Wall Motor wins order for 107 Hovers

Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. (SEHK: 2333), one of China's indigenous automakers, just signed a contract with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention upon the supply of 107 Hover H3 SUVs.

The SUVs will be used to serve regional branches of the center. A person responsible for the center's purchase disclosed that the Hover ranks the first among SUV products nationwide by sales. Moreover, the center thinks much of the Hover H3's advantage in performance, quality, and so on, in addition to convenient and prompt repair and maintenance service, and after-sales service across the country.

The Hong Kong-listed automaker disclosed that the Hover again ranked the first among SUV products nationwide with a sales volume of 72,000 in the first half of this year.

Great Wall Motor aggregately sold about 142,000 vehicles in the first five months of 2010, surging 95 percent year on year. Its total export volume jumped sharply to 20,000 ones.
