SAIC posts 31.48% sales growth in 2010
SAIC Motor Corp, China's largest car maker, Thursday said it sold 3.58 million vehicles last year, a 31.48 percent gain on an annual basis, due to robust domestic demand.
Its production of vehicles jumped 30.98 percent from a year earlier to 3.62 million units in 2010.
The expansion was bolstered by strong demand in the domestic market last year when the government provided subsidies for more efficient and smaller cars.
