Mazda to recall over 50000 Tribute SUVs

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai January 30) - Mazda announced today that it will be recalling 52,390 2001 and 2002 model year Mazda Tribute SUVs, qiche365.org.cn reported today. The Tributes in question were manufactured between late April 2000 and late July 2002.

The Tributes (pictured) are being recalled due to a fault in the brake master cylinder reservoir which may cause the cover of the reservoir open and cause the brake fluid to leak out. Any leaked fluid may adversely affect the antilock brake system, which may cause corrosion or, in extreme cases, combustion.

Mazda will contact both owners of affected vehicles and its dealers to ensure that free inspection and maintenance of said vehicles is carried out. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles before maintenance is performed. The recall is scheduled to begin today.
