Honda Stream to be made in China within two years

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 29) - Dongfeng Honda will begin manufacturing the new Stream minivan in China within two years, the Beijing Times reported today. According to statements made from sources close with the manufacturer, the Stream will be built on the same platform as the Dongfeng Honda Civic.

Although the current generation Stream (pictured) is slightly smaller than the Guangqi Honda Odyssey, it offers a more spacious interior than its predecessor. The van measures 1.54 m high. The Stream will be sold under the Chinese name Siyun, a two character word combining the meanings of thought and harmony.

When asked about the Stream, a spokesperson from Dongfeng said that he couldn't deny the news, but refused to offer any additional information.

The first generation Stream was sold in China as an import model, but failed to achieve good sales results.
