Dongfeng Honda to recall over 76000 CR-Vs in China
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 20) - Dongfeng Honda will begin recalling 2012 model year CR-V SUVs in China next month, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced this week. The recall, which will commence on August 3, will target 76,415 CR-Vs manufactured between late January and late June.
The locking mechanisms in the CR-Vs (pictured) to be recalled may be flawed. When pulling on the interior door latch while simultaneously locking the vehicle, the locking system may be affected. In extreme situations, the locking mechanism might fail entirely, causing doors to potentially open unexpectedly.
Dongfeng Honda will repair the locks on all recalled vehicles free of charge. The joint venture will contact owners of affected vehicles to schedule appointments.
