Accord Low Specification Shall Launching Market for Sales, GAC- Honda Steps 500 Thousand Sales Goal

Recently, the message from GAC-Honda's dealer that the new Accord 2.0L low specification shall launch market Feb 28 this year. The new model will be the beginner model for Accord.

"The incoming Accord 2.0 low specification price is able to back to 180 thousand CNY according to official expectation. After the new model market launching, Accord shall come back to Japan B class automobile competition mainstream." A dealer of GAC-Honda says.

Since the next half year of last year, Japanese automobile has recovery. GAC-Honda has sold 435 thousand cars last year, which has increased 37.6% over the same period of last year. Compared with its opponents Dongfeng- Nissan and GAC- Toyota,, the most important task for GAC-Honda now is to build its lead ship in B class segment.

It real means a lot for GAC-Honda if Accord sales going up. The next half this year, another star SUV product of GAC-Honda will launch market. Combined with Accord and Crider, it strikes forwards 500 thousand sales goal this year.

According to statistics from China Passenger Car Association, Accord has sold 46 thousand this Jan. Slaes is not good enough. Last Oct, the 9th Accord has sold more than 10 thousand as soon as it launching market. Up to the Dec last year, the car has sold 22 thousand already.

A relative officer of GAC-Honda believes "Jan is close to the Spring Festival, which causes worker during holiday, and production capacity has limited. It causes terminal supply limitation."

However, a dealer of GAC-Honda of North East Region says "Accord sales decline is also contributed by discount narrow. Since Jan, many cities of North East China has narrowed discount for 9th Accord, which is about 30%." besides, a dealer of GAC-Honda base, South East China says "sales task of last year has completed smoothly. The 9th Accord discount has cut 10 thousands since this Jan."

However, pressure from Japanese opponents has raised. According to China Passenger Car Association statistics, Dongfeng- Nissan Teana growth is more than 200% over the same period of last year. GAC- Toyota Camry has remained rapid growth as well.
