Ford and Toyota Secretly Flighting for Top 3rd Sales

Ford has not stopped its step and remains the fastest growth among its automobile opponents. According to the recent statistics of Ford, the company is sold 96.8 thousands cars in China in April this year, which has increased 29% over last year. The figure has exceeded sales of Toyota in China in April again. Besides, the accumulated sales of Ford of the first 4 months this year have exceeded sales of Toyota as well. Industry believes that Ford has chance to take the top 3rd sales position from Toyota, which is ranked behind Volkswagen and GM only.

However, Toyota fears of nothing and fights back. Toyota announces that sales in April has exceeded 12% over last year, which mounts to 85.8 thousands. Accumulated sales of the first 4 months sales of Toyota in China mounts to 313.8 thousands cars, which has increased 20% over last year. The first 2 months of this year, sales of Toyota are better than last year, but still less than market performance of year 2012.

Market performance of Ford is contributed by Focus, Mondeo and Escape. Ford now not only counts on Focus now. Mondeo hot sales are attracted industry attention. Growth of Mondeo is shining. It is sold 10,476 cars in April, which has increased 415% over last year. Total sales in the first 4 months accumulated to 39,287 cars, which has increased 125% over last year did. Besides, Escape sales in April is 11,102 cars, which has increased 16% over last year. In general , Changan- Ford has sold 68,119 cars in China in April, which has increased 29.2% over last year. Sales of first 4 months mounts to 260 thousands, which has increased 45.7% over last year.
