Zhu Fushou, Secretary of CPC Committee and CEO in Dongfeng Motor under investigation for corruption

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Nov 3)-The anti-corruption storm is still going on around large automobile companies. The official website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of CPC issued that Zhu Fushou, secretary of CPC Committee, director and CEO of Dongfeng Motor was under investigation for suspicion of serious violation against disciplines at 15:30 p.m., November 2th.

Zhu Fushou was another senior executive in Dongfeng Motor to be investigated, after Fan Zhong, former vice secretary of CPC committee and Ren Yong, general manager assistant and vice president, who were also suspected of serious violation against disciplines several months ago.

Zhu Fushou, born in October 1962, joined CPC in July, 1984 and got MBA degree in June,2001. He was appointed as deputy manager of wheel factory in Dongfeng Motor from November 1994 to May 1997, and then advanced to deputy general manager, chairman of board and CEO. Hereafter, he also took the position of factory manager and secretary of CPC committee in light vehicle factory of Dongfeng Motor. Before investigation he was taking several positions at the same time, having titles as Director of Board, CEO, deputy secretary of CPC committee, member of standing committee in CPC committee of Dongfeng Motor and the fourth Chairman of Board of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (600006.SH).

The 13th central inspection team inspected Dongfeng Motor from November 27th to December 27th 2014 according to the unified deployment by central government. Inspection opinions were given to CPC committee of Dongfeng Motor in February, 4th, 2015.

Zhu Baocheng, the 13th inspection team leader pointed out that this inspection to Dongfeng Motor disclosed some issues such as connected transctions within the group presided by some leaders and cadres, using public funds for overseas tourism, management loopholes and so on.

After the inspection, Dongfeng Motor started several education conferences and strengthened its anti-corruption work. From July 2015, several cases againstdiscipline violations within the group were reported and five people were transferred to judicial authority.
