Bird renews producing cars; its first MPV will be shown in Shanghai

From Changfeng: the MPV model of Changfeng and Bird will debut in ShangHai Auto Show on April 20.

In October 2003, Bird joined hands with Nanjing automobile, and invested more than 100 million Yuan to set up Wuxi Auto Body Co. Ltd. In February 2004, Bird's first model came off the assembly line.

In April 2005, Bird and Morningside technology Co. established a joint venture engine company, in hopes to enter the car manufacturing industry.

In October 2006, Bird and Changfeng Group in Hunan Changfeng Yongzhou base signed a formal cooperation agreement. Each side took 50% shares of Hunan Changfeng Automobile Technology Ltd.

Informed sources have disclosed that the "new car is referring to the MPV models on display at the forthcoming Shanghai Auto Show."
