Volkswagen Group sales broke 200,000 vehicles in Q1

In the first quarter of 2007, Volkswagen Group (China) has once again created a new sales record: Retail sales of Volkswagen Group in China of new sedans increased by 23%, reaching 202,626 vehicles including the Hong Kong and Macao regions. Among them, the volume of retail sales for the Volkswagen brand new sedans were 178,070 vehicles (including 1483 vehicles imported cars). Year-on-year increased 22.5%. Audi new sedans volume were 24,342 vehicles (including 1,749 imported vehicles), an increase of 27%. Meanwhile, Volkswagen Group (China) in the first quarter of 2007 is outperformed than expected, much higher than the same period of last year.
