Poland: Polish Automotive Export Sales through October 2006

In October 2006, Polish automotive export sales hit a record EUR 1.35bn, rising by 19.2% from the year and up 1.3% month-over-month.
On a year-to-date basis, the tally was EUR 11.62bn, a EUR 2.84bn improvement from the year (+24.5%). For the January-September period, the growth rate was also strong, at 25.2%.

For several years now, most of Poland's automotive exports have gone to EU countries. In the January-October 2006 period, Germany was the top export market, with a 27.5% share, followed by Italy, Spain, the UK and France.
