Toyota registered sales hit new high
Camry was still ranked No 1 on the auto list of the top mid-high range models, with registered sales of 14,173 in April, while none of other models have exceeded the 10,000-unit mark. Camry, whose sales are 4,584 higher than the second-best-selling model, is leading this market segment with a current 19.28 percent market share.
Statistics showed that Camry claimed the highest one-month-sales for the first time in November 2006, when the model’s registered sales taking 18.13 percent of the total, 2.29 percent higher than the second place one. However, this number climbed by 6.34 percent last April. Insiders say the distance between Camry and its competitive rivals will increase.
Camry's success evinces that Toyota's cutting–edge plant, safety technologies and diversified development channel have contributed to the high competitiveness of Toyota models.
