Dongfeng Auto to produce 300,000 light vehicles in 3 years

Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd has recently launched its 600,000th light vehicle. Till the second half of this month the light vehicle manufacturer has possessed well-equipped installments and will be able to produce 300,000 light vehicles in three or five years, said Zhu Fushou, general manager of the company. Dongfeng Automobile spent 11 years to produce the first 250,000 light vehicle units while the last 350,000 units only cost another three years.

Since the company was listed on the stock exchange, it has witnessed an average growth rate of 13.8%. Average rate increase of light vehicles is 31.2%. Accumulated taxation reached 2.74 billion in total, added Zhu.

Dongfeng Automobile has owned all series of light vehicles including light-duty trucks, SUVs, MPVs, engineering vehicles and light passenger vehicles. The company now has an annual production capacity of nearly 150,000 light vehicles, which account for nearly 40% of the total commercial vehicles of Dongfeng Motor Corporation.
