FAW Toyota targets 260,000 units 2007

Mao Liwu, general manager of FAW Toyota Sales Company recently disclosed the sales target of 260,000 vehicles in 2007, and will strive for monthly sales of 24,000 vehicles.

FAW Toyota's sales in 2004 were 85,000 units, an increase of 60%. FAW Toyota doubled the target of sales volume in 2005 and finally accomplished 159,900 vehicles, nearly to the target. Its sales target in 2006 is 210,000 units, and 224,000 were eventually completed. From an historical perspective, FAW Toyota's 2007 sales target is carefully planned.

On November 16, 2006, the opening day of the Beijing International Auto Show, FAW Toyota held a grand global launch of Carola, which shows that its determination of new vehicle business is gradually shifting to China.
