New 8th Gen Accord to be made in China this year

The new eighth generation Accord will be launched in the North American market in September and it is expected to be unveiled in China at the Guangzhou International Automobile Show on November 20 this year, according to a Guanzhou Honda dealer.

According to insiders, Guangzhou Honda is currently establishing an engineering department to coordinate with Honda headquarters, in order to speed up the production of this new eighth generation Accord in China. The Group also does not deny the possibility of this new model making its debut in China.

Meanwhile, Guangzhou Honda will distribute the ACCORD design, drawings, parts parameters, obtained from Honda headquarter, to its manufacturer and auto parts suppliers to kick start the ACCORD mass production as soon as possible, in line with Honda's headquarter strategy.
