Chery A1, A3 badged with Chrysler logo

All terms and conditions of the Chery –Chrysler cooperation has been finalized and both sides will jointly announced the details of their cooperation in July.

Earlier, Chrysler has authorized the production of Dodge Hornet by Chinese automaker Chery. The A1 and A3 models developed by Chery will be distributed via the Chrysler global sales network and both models will be badged with the Chrysler logo.

Chery Auto spokesman Jin Yibo, said that this is not a simple OEM agreement between the two parties. The agreement is currently waiting for approval from the State Development and Reform Commission and the Department of Commerce.

Meanwhile, the Chrysler production base in Wuhu with an estimated annual production capacity of 300,000 units has been completed.
