Chevrolet Captiva to arrive in Chinese market next month

Shanghai. September 5 (Gasgoo.com) - Chevrolet Captiva is set to go on sale in China this October, according to a Shanghai-GM authorized dealer.

The American SUV will be built in completely built imported unit in the first phase and be sold at approximately 200,000 yuan ($26,510). The vehicle will compete with Santa Fe, Tusconin China’s SUV market.

Shanghai GM hasn't decided whether to offer a five-seat version or a seven-seat version for Chinese consumers. Last summer, the company delivered both versions in European market, but the seven-seat version was not as successful as expected.

Shanghai GM also confirmed that it will be equipped with diesel engines that meet the Euro IV emissions standard.
