Robert Pyle appointed General Manager of Yanfeng Visteon in China

SHANGHAI, China, September 10, 2007 — Leading automotive supplier Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC) has appointed Robert D. Pyle as general manager of Yanfeng Visteon, the highly successful joint venture with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group (SAIC) in China. As general manager, Pyle will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Yanfeng Visteon’s operations, as well as product development and business strategy.

Pyle began his career at Ford Motor Company in 1989 and had been a key member of Visteon’s senior management team in the U.S. for almost 10 years.   Most recently, he was vice president of corporate development at ASIMCO Technologies, a privately held automotive components company based in Beijing, China.

“Bob has broad experience in the automotive industry,” said Terry Gohl, Vice President of Visteon interiors, lighting and global manufacturing. “His leadership success and knowledge and experience in China will ensure Yanfeng Visteon reaches new heights in the China market.”

Pyle earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and MBA degree in finance at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, U.S.A.

Pyle replaces Daniel Linder, a 20-year Ford and Visteon veteran, who played a key role in consolidating Yanfeng Visteon’s leadership position in China’s automotive interiors industry during his time as general manager. Linder has been named global head of Visteon’s lighting team to oversee business development, manufacturing, and product development for the group.

Yanfeng Visteon is a 50/50 joint venture between Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) and Visteon. Yanfeng Visteon’s extensive footprint across China includes operations for interiors, electronics, exteriors, seating, safety, tooling, and engineering.
