Europe: one of the major markets of China's auto exports
According to the annual report of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products, Automobile Branch(referred as CCCME AUTO), the European market has replaced Africa as the No. 2 vehicle exports market to China in 2006 accounting for 23.9% of China's total auto exports. The exports to Asia remained No.1 with a 43.6% share of total exports. Among them, the number of vehicles exported to Europe rose by 171.9% YoY to reach 76,600 cars, and the export value reached 748 million U.S. dollars with a 154.3% YoY growth.
The number of country with an import value over 100 million U.S. dollars from china reached 7 from 3 in 2005; and Russia has become the largest importer of China's vehicles last year with 38,000 vehicles and 350 million U.S. dollars, with a over 300% growth YoY, while China's automobile exports to Russia amounted to less than 100 million U.S. dollars in 2005.

CCCME AUTO said, the number of vehicles exported to South America and North America increased more than 100% in 2006 and the vehicles exported to South America impressively grew by 199.8% YoY.
