Honda Accord (2.0 liter) lowered to $22,581

Shanghai. October 18 (Gasgoo.com) - Guangzhou Honda has lowered its Accord series vehicles as much as 50,000 yuan ($6,649) in Southwestern city of Chongqing this week, local newspaper Chongqing Business News reported today.

This is the largest price cut since Accord (2007) hit Chinese market, the newspapers said.

The 2007 Accord powered by a 2.0 liter engine has been lowered to 169,800 yuan ($22,581) and the 2007 Accord powered by a 2.4 liter engine has been lowered to 199,800 yuan ($26,570) in Chongqing.

The price cuts are related to the coming of 2008 Accord which is scheduled to hit Chinese market next month.

Honda Accord has become a popular model in the middle and upper segment of China's sedan market. In the first nine months this year, Honda Accord sold 91,728 units in Chinese market, second only to Toyota Camry, which sold 124,134 units.
