China recalls 1.3 million vehicles since 2004

Shanghai. November 23 (Gasgoo.com) – China has recalled 1.3 million automobiles since the automobile recall system was established in October 2004, Shanghai Securities News reported today.
 
107  vehicle models made by 45 automakers were involved in the 1.3 million recalled vehicles over the past three years, the report said.
 
China recalled 580,000 vehicles involving 25 models produced by 18 automakers by November this year. Last year, 340,000 vehicles were called and the number was 320,000 in 2004 and 60,000 in 2005.
 
In March this year, Guangzhou Honda recalled nearly 420,000 Honda Accord vehicles, the biggest recall in China over the past three years, the report said.
 
To facilitate vehicle recall services, a web site (www.qiche365.org.cn/) dedicated to vehicle recalls was opened in China.
