Toyota's new Land Cruiser 200 goes on sale in China

Shanghai. December 3 (Gasgoo.com) - FAW Toyota Motor Sales Co yesterday officially launched its all new Land Cruiser 200 in China. The model begins to accept orders through FAW Toyota's approximately 292 authorized dealers nationwide today.
 
Priced between 655,000 yuan ($88,603) and 835,000 yuan ($112,952), the new LandCruiser 200 Series has a stronger body, improved suspension, and more powerful V8 engines featuring VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent), which makes it even more capable in all conditions and use less fuel.
 
Advanced features also include the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), SRS airbag, multi-terrain anti-skid brakes and up to 10 airbags.
 
Since its local production in China in 2003, some 14,000 units have been sold so far in Chinese market and the automaker expects higher sales to come through by launching the new model.
 
Toyota’s Land Cruiser was first launched in 1951. Over the past half century, the model has sold 5.21 million units in over 140 countries and regions around the world.
