Shanghai. December 4 (Gasgoo.com) – Changhe-Suzuki, which is 45 percent owned by the Japanese carmaker and controlled by the Changhe Aircraft Industry Corporation, is planning to locally produce an upgraded version of Wagon R in China by the second half next year.
"New Wagon R, popularly known as NWA, is a entirely new design model and it will go on sales in Chinese market in the second half of 2008 or early 2009, ” Yao Ronggen, general manager of the Jiangxi -based Changhe-Suzuki told Cheshi.com.cn.
Wagon R is a popular compact car in Japanese market. In the April-September period, Wagnon R was ranked as the best selling model in Japanese market, according to the sales report prepared by Japan Mini-Vehicle Association.
Changhe-Suzuki started to produce Wagon R in 2002.
