Shanghai. December 10 (Gasgoo.com) – China exported 20,563 automobiles to central Asia region via Customs in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the first eleven months, a dramatic increase of 220 percent from one year earlier, state media Xinhua News Agency reported today.
The total value of the vehicle exports reached $507 million, an increase of 310 percent from one year earlier, the report said.
A total value of $420 million vehicles exported via Xinjiang Customs was sold to five countries in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) and the rest were sold to Russia and Ukraine, the report said.
Most part of these vehicles (a total value of $347 million) exported via Xinjing Customs are made by China’s private automakers, according to the report.
