Shanghai. December 11 (Gasgoo.com) – Chrysler is planning to open three distribution centers in China by the middle of next year, Chinese newspaper Beijing Morning Post reported today.
"A team of 30 after-service staff will be formed next year to deal with Chrysler’s aftermarket services,” said Yi Bo, general manager of the sales unit of Chrysler China. “And we will open three distribution centers to facilitate after-market services for imported vehicles.”
The three distributions, to be opened in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, will provide auto parts for imported cars and trucks made by Mercedes-Benz trucks and Chrysler.
"Once the distribution centers are established, we could be able to deliver auto parts to a customer in Xinjing Autonomous region in 24 hours,” Yi said.
Since the beginning of this year, Chrysler has introduced new Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Commander and Jeep Compass to Chinese market; and Chrysler is planning to bring Jeep Wrangler to Chinese market next year.
