Limited supply, strong demand drives Mercedes C280 price up to $68,000

Shanghai. January 11 (Gasgoo.com) – A strong market demand, coupled with limited supply, has driven up the prices of the imported Mercedes-Benz C280 up to RMB 567,000 yuan ($77,671) from a MSRP price of RMB 497,000 ($68,082).
 
Mercedes-Benz C280, the latest version of M-Benz C class model, was imported to Chinese market in November of 2007. It is schedule to be locally produced in China earlier this year.
 
The new Benz C-series is larger in height and is configured with advanced technology such as ESP, front seat airbags and side airbags and ABS. The car has already obtained production licenses from China’s National Development and Reform Commission this September.
 
Powered by a 3.0 Liter V6 engine, C 280 has a maximum output of 170/6000Kw/rpmand a maximum Torque 300N·m. It has a 5 speed automatic transmission.
