Guangzhou Honda doubles new Accord's daily output

Shanghai. January 30 (Gasgoo.com) – Guangzhou Honda has increased its new Accord output in the second plant from 200 plus units a day to 500 units a day, a senior company official told Cheshi.com.cn.
 
Fu Shoujie, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Honda told Cheshi.com.cn that the automake r might start to produce new Accord vehicles in its first second if it becomes necessary.
 
The much expected 2008 Honda Accord sedans rolled off assembly line in the second plant of Guangzhou Honda in late December last year.
 
Guangzhou Honda expects to sell 178,000 Accord sedans next year, while its closest competitor Toyota Camry expects to sell 175,000 vehicles next year.

Honda Accord, along with Toyota Camry, VW Passat and Ford Mondeo-Zhisheng are most popular models in the middle and upper segment of China's sedan market.
 
Last year, Guangzhou Honda sold118,024 Accord vehicles; Shanghai VW sold 120,462 Passat vehicles and Guangzhou Toyota sold 170,294 Camry vehicles.
