Shanghai. February 2 (Gasgoo.com) – China imported 314,200 vehicles last year, an increase of 86,200 vehicles or up 37.8 percent from one year earlier, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Total value of these imported vehicles last year reached 10.68 billion in U.S. dollars, an increase of $3.127 billion, or up 41.4 percent from one year earlier.
China imported 59,100 vehicles in the first quarter last year, 79,900 in the second quarter; 82,700 in the third quarter and 92,500 in the fourth.
Last year, China imported 139,900 sedans, up 25.13 percent from one year earlier and 142,200 SUV vehicles, up 64.91 percent from one year earlier. China also imported 19,100 mini-buses last year, down 5.29 percent from one year earlier.
China imported a total number of 301,200 sedans, SUVs and min-buses last year, which represent 96 percent of all vehicles China imported last year.
