Shanghai, May 30 (Gasgoo.com) Guangzhou Honda is reported to build another Honda's minivan, called Freep, in its plant. The vehicle is forecast to be priced between 100,000 yuan ($14,414) and 150,000 yuan in the Chinese market.

The Freed is based on the Honda Fit, and will seat five to eight people depending on the car's configuration. It's powered by a 118 hp 1.5L engine, hooked up to a CVT.

Honda said it expects to sell 4,000 Freeds a month in Japan, Bloomberg reported yesterday. The model will be priced between 1.64 million yen ($15,600) and 2.26 million yen in Japan.

The minivan is the first of four new models Honda plans to add to its lineup this year as record gasoline prices boost demand for fuel- efficient small cars in Japan, the report said.
