FAW Haima Automobile Co., Ltd (Mazda China)

FAW Haima Automobile Co., Ltd. is located in Jinpan Industrial Development Area of Haikou city, covering total land area of 1,000,000 square meters. The last more than ten years has witnessed the development of Haima Automobile into a large scale passenger vehicle manufacturing firm with domestically leading manufacturing facilities and process of stamping, welding, painting and final assembling for the annual production capacity of 150,000 units.

Currently, there are totally 2,500 employees working for Haima and another around 10,000 employees working for associated companies including Haima's sales networks and suppliers. Haima Automobile has been benefited from its excellent capital structure and advanced management system, and shared product development, supply platforms and marketing networks with it strategic partners. As a state-designated passenger vehicle manufacturing complex, Haima has played important role in China 's manufacturing industry, ranking among the Top 500 of China's industrial enterprises, and the Top 100 of China's machinery industrial enterprises. In 2003, it ranked 229th among the Top 500 of China's industrial enterprises. Haima's annual production volume in 2005 reached 78,000 units, an 18% increase over the previous year. 

Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd  is a joint-venture which is invested by Chongqing Changan Automobile Corporation Ltd.,Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Company. The company is located in the JiangNing Economic & Technological Development Zone. The total investment is over 350 million USD, which is one of the largest engine plants in China. Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd held the ground breaking ceremony on Sept, 27th, 2005. The company will produce petrol automobile engines and will reach full scale production in early 2007. The engines which will be produced by Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd are 'state of the art' with TSCV advanced technology, fuel efficient, and with excellent environment protection performance. ChangAn Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd production processes include the latest manufacturing processes for casting, machining and assembly operations. The successful launch and establishment of CFME will also help the further development of the Auto industry of China.

Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd Changan, Ford and Mazda hold 50 percent, 35 percent and 15 percent shares in CFMA, respectively. The 15 percent share now owned by Mazda in CFMA was transferred by Ford from its 50 percent share originally held in Changan Ford.

The three parties are also jointly building a brand new vehicle assembly plant in Nanjing, which will become the second manufacturing base of CFMA and will produce both Mazda and Ford brand vehicles. The Nanjing assembly plant is expected to be operational in 2007, with an initial annual capacity of 160,000 units. Adjacent to the Nanjing assembly plant is the three-party joint venture Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. (CFME), which is well underway to being operational in 2007. The engine company will produce world-class engine products for both Ford and Mazda brands and will supply the three parties' vehicle assembly operations in China.
