VW and China’s JAC Jointly Launch NeeeW or Kaishi
Gasgoo (Shanghai, October 12) The new brand of electric vehicle, which may be launched jointly by VW and JAC in China, may be named NeeeW or Kaishi, based on information released on the Chinese governmental website.
VM China has announced to cooperate with JAC since September 6, 2016. And VW Has planned to invest more than 4.5 billion dollar in China.
VW may cooperate with JAC to develop electric vehicles of low price, as Dr. Prof. Jochem Heizmann, CEO of VM China, has pointed out on the 2016 Paris Auto Show recently. The two companies have aimed at developing SUV of smaller size and low price in order to take up large market shares in a short time. However, what cooperation between two companies may bring about after five years may be different.
We can safely predict that cooperation with JAC could be a choice made by VW for responding to scandals and market pressure due to soaring demands of green vehicles.
